About Aylin

Hi I’m Aylin a recent sociology graduate and current teaching assistant. I’ve been tutoring since my first year at university it’s been four years now since I’ve started and I’ve loved every second of it.
I have many different teaching styles, over the years I have learnt that not every student is the same, people learn in many different ways so I have learnt to alter my teaching style according to my students needs.
My lesson structure and plans all depend on the student I’m working with, in the first lesson I always get to know my students and have conversations with them about what methods of learning best suits them. There are four different types of learners: visual learners, auditory learners, Kinesthetic learners and reading/writing learners. Understanding these different methods of learning is important because in a normal school lesson it is impossible for a teacher to alter their teaching or lesson plans for to every child’s needs so some children do get left behind if that style of teaching is not working for them. This is one reason I wanted to take on tutoring, I think it’s very helpful to have someone give students one to one attention if there’s any areas the student needs to work on that they can’t keep up with in class.

About the lesson
