About Annecka

I have a PhD in sociology from the University of Warwick. I love teaching. For me the best experience is the light bulb moment of 'ah ha' when I see that my students understand an idea. Teaching is more than just a job. It is a unique chance to make a real difference to improving personal, learning and employment goals. I strive to encourage my students to use their sociological awareness to be outstanding people, citizens and contributers to their communities in social, economic and political terms.

About the lesson

Students benefit greatly from the combination of interactive classes and individual coursework. Sociology helps them to make a valuable contribution to their life chances. My pupils realise their important potential. I motivate them to be creative and critical thinkers. My classes support diversity, inclusion and equity. I maximise my students' ability to excel their knowledge in interesting ways.

My lessons promote enthusiasm, personal growth and self-confidence. They are challenging and self-reflexive. My pupils apply sociology to enhance how to build their own futures. My lessons improve students' personal, academic and career success. My students apply sociological theories and concepts to their everyday lives. My pupils learn how to play a more meaningful role in society. They develop and explore their sociological imagination.
