About Shivani
Hi, I'm Shivani. I am a dedicated lecturer and PhD researcher in Forensic Anthropology with years of academic and teaching experience. I specialise in Biology, Anatomy, Forensic Science, and Biomedical Science across GCSE, A-Level, and university level. I have dyslexia myself and pride myself on teaching students in a concise way by tailoring to each student's needs. With a strong foundation in science through a BSc in Biomedical Science (1st Class Honours) and two MSc degrees (Distinction and Merit) awarded at Russell Group Universities, I bring both academic expertise and real-world relevance to every lesson. I take pride in delivering well-structured, engaging sessions tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. You can expect a friendly, patient, and professional approach, with a focus on building confidence, deepening understanding, and achieving academic success. Whether you're preparing for exams or looking to strengthen subject knowledge, I’m here to support you every step of the way.

As a tutor, I create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs. I have experience working with students who have ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. I use visual aids, real-world examples, and active recall techniques to help students understand and retain complex concepts, especially in subjects like biology, biochemistry, maths, anatomy, and forensic science. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, but can be adjusted based on the student's goals and concentration levels. I hold a BSc in Biomedical Science, two MSc degrees (Forensic Medical Science and Bioarchaeology), and I’m currently completing a PhD in Forensic Anthropology. I have experience sitting the UCAT exam for medicine, and started medical school until I chose to withdraw (due to COVID). I also lecture at university level and have experience working with GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate and master's students. These lessons are ideal for students aged 12+ preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or university coursework, or anyone with a keen interest in life sciences, medical science or forensic studies.
