About Julia
Hi! My name is Julia, in the classroom I go by Mrs. Rice. I have been teaching in primary school settings for over 15 years. In the past 6 years I have been in an out of classroom administrative role as an assistant head teacher. What I enjoyed most about that role was teaching small groups, and getting to know every student in the building. I really love seeing students flourish independently and taking a step back as they conquer problems they thought they would be unable to do independently.

I love building confidence in children who are subject to exams. I take a very practical approach to test prep, one that has worked across exams and countries. I build confidence in young learners and make sure that they know they have the tools to tackle difficult exams. I have worked for many years as a teacher, and equally as many as a tutor. I enjoy one to one lessons or small groups where I have the opportunity to see children grow within the lesson. A typical lesson would last one hour and could include Maths and English, or one subject area. Lessons are for primary students ranging in age 3-11.
