About Charlotte
I am a friendly and confident past student who has studied English with a passion for teaching. I'm capable of teaching people at all levels. My goal is to help students who may need a little extra help to boost their grades and get the outcome they are hoping for. I have been passionate in English since I was in secondary school and during my time learning, I have written and helped others to write Grade 9/Grade A* Essays. I am flexible with my knowledge in both literature and language, and I excel at creative writing.

At A level I studied the Pearson Edexcel specification and achieved a grade B in the combined English Literature/Language course. At GCSE I studied the English Literature Eduqas specification, and the Edexcel English Language Specification and achieved a grade 7 in both. I am confident in teaching GCSE poetry, Romeo and Juliet, Jekyll and Hyde and An Inspector Calls; and teaching Othello and A Streetcar Named Desire at an A level standard. The typical lesson length I offer will be 1 hour, but I am always happy to extend this if requested. My typical method of teaching will be teaching certain language and literature methods, and how to structure essays well, then getting students to go away and do practice essays or questions for me to mark and give constructive feedback on. I am also happy to provide help with homework. I have experience in tutoring a few GCSE students in English Language and Literature.
