About Sohmer
I am recognized among many inside and outside my school district for the positive impact I have on student achievement. I have received monetary incentives from District Supervisors for my dedication to nontraditional learners and their academic success under my tutelage. I was selected as the 2006 Teacher of the Year by my peers and awarded Outstanding Teacher of the Year by a prestigious community organization. When it comes to teaching and learning, all I do is win - no matter what! Students who have struggled to make gains have excelled with me as their teacher, and high performing students reach even higher levels of success. My ability to teach is more than a talent, it's a gift. I recognize my gift, and I give glory!
