About Louis

I'm a former university lecturer and classical language instructor with over 20 years of experience helping students achieve their goals. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Cincinnati, a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago, and a Master of Arts in Classics from the University of Southern California, where I also earned my PhD in Classics.

I've authored an intermediate Greek commentary on Plato's Ion and specialize in bringing Latin and Greek language and literature to life. I also offer deep expertise in Roman and Greek history, AP Latin, and standardized language exams. Beyond classical studies, I excel at essay writing, copy editing, college counseling, formatting and proofreading, college essays, and thesis development.

Having taught everyone from grade schoolers to doctoral candidates, I thrive on watching learners discover their potential. My greatest joy comes from guiding students until they become passionate, independent learners who own their educational journey. About the lesson

As Plato says, “play for a serious purpose.” I like to keep lessons playful and relaxed so students aren’t overwhelmed or feel like learning is a chose.
