About Stephane
I received the BSc and MSc degrees in electrical engineering, from the University of Western Brittany, France, in 1990 and 1991, respectively. I also received the PhD degree in electronics, from the same university in 1995. After graduation, I worked for various higher-education institutions in France, UAE, and New-Zealand, before finally joining, in 2005, the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Newcastle University, UK, as a tenured professor in electronic and communication engineering. I retired from academia in 2025. My research interests include VLSI design (digital and analogue circuits), information theory, and communication systems.

I only teach subjects in which I have genuine expertise. In fact, they are all associated with modules that I taught as a university professor for many years, at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Alongside the lessons, I am happy to provide complete sets of lecture notes as well as tutorial sheets with solutions. I am also happy to help students with their assignments and technical reports.
