About Hester
My name is Hester Horn, better known as Retha. I am currently the HOD of the foundation phase at a school. I am passionate about teaching and always have my students' best interest at heart. My passion goes beyond the classroom environment.

I have a belief that children learn through play and my lessons are fun and out of the box! Let me assist you too. I am a qualified foundation phase educator and currently a Head of department, I also have a TEFL qualification. I am able to teach and tutor all Foundation phase subjects (Math, Life skills, Afrikaans and English). Having a TEFL qualification states that I am able to teach up till adulthood. My strengths are as follows: I am a hard worker, I am organized, I have great writing skills and enjoy a book or two. I hope to hear from you soon.

I have known Hester for just over a year and from my experience with her, she has a great rapport with children of all ages and has a strong work ethic. She is an extremely honest and trustworthy person.
Hester has been a family friend for longer than I've been alive so when it came down to school she was the go to tutor. Hester was my Afrikaans tutor through out my Highschool career. She helped me get through orals, essays and exam after exam. Hester is probably the only reason I managed to pass a language that felt positively foreign to me. Definitely recommend her as a tutor. She is kind, patient and her methods are fantastic!
Highly recommended, she is one of many patient teachers who take their time to make sure learners take in all the knowledge needed. She has a way of bonding with her learners as well as her parents.
