As the founder and designer of a.v. vattev, I bring real-world experience from the fashion industry to my one-to-one tutorials. With a background working for renowned brands like Saint Laurent and Lanvin, and through developing my own label, I understand the creativity and technical skills needed to succeed in fashion. My sessions are designed to guide you in refining your unique style, with personalized feedback and insights that come from years of professional experience. Together, we'll work to build your confidence and craft a portfolio that truly reflects your potential.

About the lesson

In my one-to-one tutorials, I create a dynamic and personalized learning environment within our fashion studio. My approach centers on brainstorming sessions, where we explore the student’s vision and style, and then work together to refine their portfolio and develop a personal design signature. I also integrate relevant fashion and art history notes that align with the student's body of work, ensuring they have a deeper context to draw from in their creative journey.

Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My teaching is a balance of theory and hands-on experience, encouraging critical thinking and creativity. Each session is highly tailored to the individual, focusing on the specific needs of the student, whether it's portfolio development or honing personal style. I emphasize an interactive, discussion-led process, using case studies and examples from my own experiences at av vattev and the wider fashion industry.

With my background as the founder and designer of av vattev, as well as my experience working with interns and recent graduates, I have developed a strong foundation in mentoring and guiding emerging talent. My professional experience includes working for top-tier fashion houses like Saint Laurent and Lanvin, which informs my understanding of both creative and technical skills needed for success in fashion.
