About Jake
I'm passionate about teaching and learning, especially when it comes to History. I believe that with the right approach, History can be a really engaging and thought-provoking subject for all students. My goal is to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, thinking critically, and making meaningful connections between the past and their own lives. I focus on making lessons inclusive, relevant, and dynamic. History isn’t just about memorizing dates, it’s about understanding people, decisions, and the world we live in today.

Inquiry based learning allows students to explore areas of interest or necessity while developing realistic and authentic historical skills.
Lessons typically go between half an hour to an hour.
I'm highly familiar with the V9 curriculum's content/skills. I thoroughly enjoy helping to develop the necessary critical thinking skills and writing style associated with history.
I traditionally teach Yr7-12; however, I have tutored students in upper primary previously.
