I asked Nick for lessons after playing alongside him in a local orchestra and being amazed by his superb violin playing and leadership. I have really enjoyed every lesson with Nick and have found his fantastic musicianship and talent for his instruments inspiring, encouraging me to work hard. Whilst there is no pressure in Nick’s lessons, I have received loads of constructive feedback that has definitely benefitted my playing and helped me to understand the music I am covering. Nick is always happy to prioritise any of my concerns or queries within a piece of music during lessons, and I have improved so much in the 2 months I have been having lessons with him. I would really recommend Nick as a teacher whether you are feeling a bit of a lack of motivation to practice your instrument or are looking to further develop your musicianship ( be it performance, musical theory or technique ).

Nick is a superb and incredibly gifted musician, and was more than able to supplement my second study at University level. Perhaps more importantly he has a way of explaining things that really helps technique click, is incredibly patient and has consistently helped me to improve.
