About Ciara
I have experience teaching all ages. I started teaching English to children and adults in Spain. Afterwards I completed my Professional Diploma in Education in Trinity and started teaching in secondary schools. Since then I've worked in a wide range of schools, all boys, then all girls, then mixed schools. This year I'm taking parental leave to be with my two young kids but I want to continue teaching through private classes.
I have plenty of experience teaching grinds and Leaving Cert Higher Level classes. I was an Oral Examiner twice and a Written Examiner once, both in Spanish.
I completed my Erasmus in Salamanca, Spain and have lived in several areas of France (Loire Valley, Brittany, Montpellier).
In Montpellier I worked as an English Language Assistant, teaching English to students aged 11 - 15 years.
I am passionate about languages and a total grammar nerd. I want to share my passion for languages with you and help you to succeed in your upcoming exams or whatever it is you have in mind.
My hobbies include any time spent outdoors and crafting.

Classes are suited to your level and needs. If you are looking to improve on a certain area, that's what we'll focus on. If you want general support then classes will cover the aspects of a language: listening, speaking, reading and writing. I will include authentic material, references to culture of the language and encourage the student to speak the language as much as possible to gain confidence. I use online tools such as flashcards and games for learning and testing knowledge.
I can offer that classes online or in your home. They can be individual or in small groups.
The typical length of a lesson is 45 - 60 mins depending on the age and level of the student.
