About Katie

Hi, my name is Katie and I am a student from Edinburgh, Scotland !

I fell in love with Spanish and hispanic culture a few years ago when I went on a backpacking trip to Costa Rica after school. I then decided to switch to a Spanish degree at Bristol University and have been studying it ever since (along with French). I also recently just moved back from Buenos Aires in Argentina where I was studying international relations at one of the main universities there. I did a lot of travelling around Argentina, Chile and Bolivia during this time and so have an expansive knowledge of the language's uses and dialects and would love to share my passion with others by helping them !

About the lesson

I have both theoretical and practical knowledge of Spanish, having studied it for for 2+ years at University-level, and having lived and studied in Argentina for 5+ months. However, being a Spanish-learner rather than a native means that I understand the difficulties that we encounter as native english speakers and can help you get around these !

Lessons can range from 45 minutes to an hour depending on your needs, and will be tailored to best suit the student. My lessons are practical but also fun ! Learning Spanish can be so enjoyable and very rewarding. Through a variety of exercises, activities or simple broken down explanations we can work on the specific areas that you would like (whether that be grammar, expanding your vocabulary, reading comprehension etc.) !

My lessons are for anyone studying Spanish at high-school level.
