My teaching methodology is based on a balance between the learner's need and personal contribution. The first course is used to assess the level, wishes, needs and interests of the learner. Then the lessons take place according to a precise progression which will lead the learner to where he wants to go. I am very eclectic and am interested in many subjects. However, I have certain favorite themes: philosophy, history, French identity, religion (Judaism, Protestantism), art, reading. The courses focused on this theme generally take the following form: the student reads an article or watches a video on a chosen topic, then we talk about it during the course. A theme is examined by the study of several documents in order to favor the plurality of points of view. The documents are also pretexts for the study of grammar and vocabulary. Other course possibilities: discovery of a French region, reading followed by a book.
