About Sarah
Hi! I graduated last year from Cambridge with a first-class degree in BA Modern and Medieval Languages, with a particular focus on French and comparative film by my final year. I also spent my Year Abroad studying at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris. My interests mainly revolve around film, literature and art.
In my A-Levels, I got D2 (equivalent to A*) D2 A in French, English Literature and Mathematics respectively, and I got 10 A*s in my GCSEs.

I believe that sessions should be engaging and should never rely on the tutor simply talking at the student. Helping a student come to grips with an idea or concept requires active interaction from them, not just to help them process their understanding but also to help the tutor refine and tailor their method of teaching to suit them. Everyone has different ways of learning that suit them, and I will cater to these needs. I also believe it is extremely important to nurture a supportive environment, in which the student feels comfortable, never belittled or intimidated.
Most sessions will be an hour, but of course, depending on the student and the subject, this can be flexible.
I have plenty of experience tutoring for 11+ and teaching English as a Foreign Language to children and adults alike.
