About the lesson
With my classes my aim is for you to learn French in an interesting and spontaneous way. Picture yourself having a coffee with a friend and leaving with more understanding of new vocabulary.
I present two options:
1/ According to your level, interests and needs, we choose a topic for each class based on a selection of media. This could be anything from a text, video, song, audio podcast or an image etc. The topics can be very diverse: jumping into "today's news”, talking about food, travel, ecology or movies etc.
Besides the comprehension exercise (listening and/or reading), the media acts as a point of departure and inspiration for further dialogue on wide-ranging topics, developing your conversational skills and increasing your confidence in the process.
2/ If you would prefer an even more spontaneous class structure we can do free conversation!

Avec mes cours, mon objectif est que vous appreniez le français de manière intéressante et spontanée. Imaginez-vous en train de prendre un café avec un(e) ami(e) et de repartir avec une meilleure compréhension et du nouveau vocabulaire.
Je propose deux options:
1 / En fonction de votre niveau, de vos centres d'intérêt et de vos besoins, nous choisissons un thème pour chaque classe en fonction d'une sélection de supports. Il peut s'agir d'un texte, d'une vidéo, d'une chanson, d'un podcast audio ou d'une image etc. Les sujets peuvent être très variés: allant de "l'actualité du jour" jusqu’à la gastronomie, le voyage, l'écologie ou encore le cinéma etc.
Outre l'exercice de compréhension (écoute et / ou lecture), les médias servent d'inspiration et de point de départ à une conversation approfondissant le dialogue sur des sujets variés, développant vos capacités de conversation et augmentant votre confiance en vous dans le processus.
2 / Si vous préférez une structure de classe encore plus spontanée, nous pouvons également avoir une conversation complètement libre!

About Maude
I have travelled, lived and worked in different countries such as : Australia, Czech Republic, Italy, Portugal etc. In these different adventures, I gave some private French lessons from time to time and really liked it. This is why since last year, I decided to teach French online and I am also currently studying DAEFLE (professional qualification for teaching French as a foreign language) to be even more specialised and professional in this field.

Deadly! I started taking lessons with Maude in order to prepare prior to my move to France. I studied French in school and took some French language modules in university but I hadn't used it in many years and was not used to speaking it. I was looking for classes that focused mostly on conversational skills. Maude tailored the classes to my needs and provided excellent tutoring. It was very useful having conversations about a range of different topics while learning new and varied vocabulary and phrases throughout. After every class Maude put together and sent me quizlets which included the new vocabulary and phrases that we looked at during that class. These were great and really helped me improve as it allowed me to review and study the work after the class.
I always had a really fun time in Maude's class. She always made me feel comfortable, gave great encouragement and was always incredibly patient. Maude's a great teacher and her efforts and care really show.See more reviews

I learned french in school, but after many years of not practising the language, my french skills got unfortunately nearly completely lost. That's why I decided to take french conversation classes with Maude. My wish was getting back to being able having fluent conversations in French. And I can tell you: It was a pretty good decision to go for Maude! Maude is really amazing in creating a trustworthy and comforting environment in her classes. After only a short time I felt the courage to speak again in french, which was really such a nice experience for me! Maude finds the perfect balance in between helping you to improve your skills and making you feel comfortable at the same time. She's a quite knowledgable tutor and her classes were always super fun! Maude is an excellent tutor. She's patient and explains and corrects my mistakes in a way that helps me to understand and improve. She's very friendly so I always enjoy sessions with her, and although I get lots of useful feedback on my French, they feel like casual chats with a good friend. I've really noticed a difference in my French, particularly in my pronunciation, which is thanks to Maude's attention to detail. I highly recommend her as a tutor if you want to maintain or improve your French in a fun and relaxed way.

Maude is such an amazing person and teacher!! Not only she teaches you proper French but she also does it in aN amazing way, classes are always interesting, relaxed and fun.
