About Jade

About Me I am a Computer Science foundation year student at King's College London with a background in Mathematics and Computer Science from my French Baccalaureate. Having recently moved to London, I bring a fresh perspective and enthusiasm for helping others understand complex things (such as French). My approach to tutoring combines patience, clarity, and adaptability. I believe that every student has unique learning needs, and I take pride in finding the right method to help each individual grasp difficult subjects. Throughout my academic journey, I've developed effective techniques for breaking down complex problems into manageable steps—a skill I'm eager to share with my students. As a bilingual speaker (French and English), I can connect with diverse students and explain concepts in multiple ways. I understand that learning works best in a comfortable environment, so I aim to be both your teacher and your ally in education. I create a relaxed atmosphere where questions are always welcome, mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and progress is celebrated.

About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach and Methodology: My teaching approach centres on building a strong foundation through personalised support that adapts to each student's learning style. Rather than simply providing answers. Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I begin by assessing the student's current understanding to identify knowledge gaps. I then choose what textbook matches the best for the student. Typical Lesson Length: My standard sessions last 60-90 minutes, which provides sufficient time for concept review, explanation of new material, guided practice, and independent work. Qualifications and Experience: As a current Computer Science foundation year student at King's College London with a French Baccalaureate specialising in Mathematics and Computer Science, I have a strong academic background in these subjects. While building my formal tutoring experience in the UK, I've previously helped fellow students prepare for exams and understand challenging concepts, which has developed my ability to explain complex ideas clearly. Target Students: My tutoring is primarily aimed at secondary school students (ages 11-18).
