About Anne
I have been a tutor for a year, and as a student, I am used to sharing knowledge and to be curious. As an IT technician, I am also used to explaining complicated things in simple terms, depending on the level of the person in front of me.
The process and responsibility of teaching is something I take very seriously, as I wish to deliver a quality teaching to my students. My teaching process is carefully prepared before each lesson: I try to make them progressive and coherent, with different approaches and materials, and I also question myself and read about pedagogy to improve my skills as a tutor.

When teaching French to my students, I focus mostly on their interest and the way they learn. It is something I try to assess in the first lessons, as well as their level. Then, depending on the student profile (whether visual or audio exercises work best for example), and based on their learning goals and their interests, I suggest a study plan.
A typical lesson plan might include:
- A first approach of the topic (ex: travels)
- A guided study of a document (ex: a picture of an airport, with different activities associated with it) and several questions
- Practical exercises that allow the student to apply their new knowledge.
- An open exercise that can involve conversation, role play, writing, to really master the new knowledge and use it in a freer context.
As a tutor, I am really concerned about prioritizing the student's needs and interests. The lesson should be a moment of curiosity, openness and enthusiasm.
My lessons are for levels from primary school to high school, and for adults as well. I can also teach conversational lessons for advanced speakers who wish to improve a specific area of language (informal, business/work, academic, etc).
