About Maude

The Journey: I am originally from France and moved to England at 18 to work as an au pair. At 21, I broadened my horizons further by working as an au pair in Dalkey, Ireland.
The Academic Foundation: I graduated in France with a degree in Foreign Languages, Literature, and Civilizations (specializing in English and Spanish).
The Teaching Expertise: To turn my passion into a career, I completed my PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in French right here in Kent at Canterbury. For the past 3 years, I have been working as a full-time French teacher in Sittingbourne.
Because I’ve mastered English and Spanish as foreign languages, I know the exact mental shortcuts and strategies that help English brains "click" with French grammar.

As a practicing French teacher with 3 years of classroom experience in Kent, I know exactly what AQA examiners look for at every level. I specialize in turning the areas GCSE students struggle with most into their greatest strengths through tailored, online lessons.

For Foundation Students (Grades 1–5): We focus on building core vocabulary, mastering the present and past tenses, decoding listening tracks, and gaining maximum marks on the 40-word and 90-word writing pieces.
For Higher Students (Grades 4–9): We dive into complex structures (like the subjunctive, conditional, and passive voice), advanced translation skills, idiomatic phrases, and nailing the 150-word extended writing task.
