About Riaz
I find great joy in helping others improve their English. I am employed full time and have a lot of time every evening and on weekends. I love meeting new people and seeing their grasp of the English language grow. With practice this can be achieved.

Pleasantries to start the lesson – ask how the student is, how their day is etc.
Display the world map and zoom in on one continent at a time. How many countries in
each continent can the student name in 1 minute? Do 1 minute for Europe, then 1 minute
for Asia, 1 minute for Africa etc.
Which continent did they know the most countries for?
Display world map.
Lead-in (12-17)
Read and pronounce these countries. Can the student show you where each one is on the
world map? Help as necessary.
Brazil – Canada – China – France – Ireland – India – Italy – Spain – England – America –
Russia – Germany – Turkey – Scotland – Australia
Students can annotate the world map to show you
where they think each country is. Do the first one as
an example. They can write the names on the map.
