About Steph
Tutoring:
I have over 2.5 years of experience tutoring and have taught over 700 lessons. I am confident with supporting students with content and know the necessary exam technique.
I love hearing the unique perspectives of students during our lessons.
Academic background:
I graduated with First Class Honours in Politics and International Relations from the University of Bristol. The course has been particularly useful for learning more detail about A Level topics; I enjoy sharing this extra information and ideas with students during lessons.
I achieved an A*in Politics at A Level.
In my free time, I enjoy staying active by going on walks.

I strive to help students get the best grades they possibly can, as well as boost their confidence in the trickier topics.
I take a structured and interactive approach to lessons, aiming to create a space where students can ask questions and raise concerns.
Everyone approaches learning differently and I frame sessions with that in mind, working with students to find the subject-specific skills and revision strategies that will help them thrive. I plan for each student differently, considering their interests and what keeps them engaged. I make sure to follow exam board advice to ensure that the lessons are correctly focused.
For some lessons, I take a discussion-based approach to, in which the student and I take an exam question and work together to come up with a detailed plan.
At the end of the lesson, we will recap any new content, and address any remaining questions that students have. If they wish, I can point students towards further practice they can do in their free time or set homework tasks.
