About Ben

I am a senior sports physiotherapist, graduating from the University of Nottingham with a first class Physiotherapy degree, subsequently earning my master's degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
I currently work as women's academy physiotherapy lead for a leading premier league football team. Previously working in both professional and international Rugby League and Rugby Union.

I have a passion for teaching and regularly teach and guest lecture both in the UK and in the Netherlands. I am also very privileged to have had the opportunity to play a small role in the education and supervision of students and junior therapists, both in the UK and abroad, who have successfully gone on to pursue their dream careers in sports and academia.

I'm incredibly excited to take this experience further to help as many students and clinicians as possible to achieve their goals.

We all start somewhere, and it is my pleasure to help others in the same way others helped me throughout my early career!

About the lesson

I aim to improve the confidence of both students and clinicians alike. My goal is always to help you develop your knowledge and skills while working with your individual strengths!

We will work together to help you feel confident in yourself and your abilities. From interview prep and exam/OSCE revision to clinical reflections, case reviews and more!

I currently work as a senior physiotherapist and female academy medical lead for a Premier League football club. I have previously worked in professional rugby union and rugby league both in the UK and abroad. I also have a wealth of experience with teaching both in the UK and internationally, with international postgraduate research at a Master's level and supervising Clinical Research

My special interests are
- Sports injuries
- Sports trauma and physio trauma education (ITMMiF, ATMMiF, PHICIS, IMMoFP)
- Teaching clinical skills
- General MSK teaching and Assessment
- Guidance and practice in preparing for UK university and physiotherapy interviews
- Paediatric musculoskeletal and developmental injuries

Sessions are typically 30 minutes to 1 hour long but there is scope for this to be longer if requested.

Sessions can be fully tailored to the individual need and are suitable to all UK physiotherapy, sports therapy and sports rehabilitation BSc and MSc students, as well as new clinicians.
