About Yana
I have experienced immigration twice in my life, and I deeply understand what it feels like for a child to begin learning a completely unfamiliar language — one that can seem intimidating at first.
I speak four languages, and my own learning journey has shaped the way I teach. It helped me understand how languages are truly acquired — not only through grammar and rules, but through confidence, emotional comfort, and real communication.
Along my path, I was fortunate to meet inspiring teachers who didn’t just teach me English, but helped me fall in love with it. This is exactly what I aim to pass on to my students.
For me, language learning is also about stepping out of your comfort zone in a gentle, supported way. I help children gradually adapt to an English-speaking environment, build confidence, and start seeing English not as something scary, but as a natural part of communication — almost like having a new friend.
My goal is to help children not only learn English, but feel confident using it in real life 🤍

Hi! My name is Yana, I’m 19 and I’m an English tutor for children based in Canada. I have a C1 level of English and I regularly communicate with native speakers, which helps me bring real, natural language into my lessons.
I specialize in conversational English and teaching the basics to young learners. My goal is to help children start speaking confidently, step by step, without fear of mistakes.
I speak Serbian, Ukrainian, and Russian, and I can also explain fully in English to gently immerse children in the language environment while still making them feel supported and understood.
I use interactive flashcards, visual learning techniques, and other engaging methods to make lessons clear and interesting. Every program is fully personalized based on the child’s age, personality, and learning style.
I genuinely connect well with children and create a calm, safe, and encouraging space where they feel comfortable and heard. I believe the most important part of learning is confidence and emotional comfort.
My goal is simple — to help children not only learn English, but actually start speaking it naturally and enjoy the process 🤍
