¡Hola! Bonjour! I'm Jess — a Spanish & French Tutor for Children, Teens & Beginners I’m a friendly, passionate tutor with a BA in Spanish, French and Economics from a Russell Group university. I specialise in working with children, teenagers and adult beginners, helping them build confidence and curiosity in learning languages from day one. A Bit About Me Languages have always been a big part of my life — not just through study, but through real cultural experience. I’ve lived in Madrid, Málaga (Spain) and Aix-en-Provence (France), where I fully immersed myself in the local lifestyle, language, and sunshine! My grandparents have lived in the beautiful Charente region of France for over 20 years, so both French and Spanish cultures feel like home to me. I love sharing these lived experiences in my lessons — from food and traditions to idioms and cultural quirks that textbooks often miss! My Teaching Style My lessons are designed to be fun, interactive and confidence-building. I use a student-led approach, adapting lessons to your goals, pace, and interests — especially with younger learners. For children, I focus on games, songs and creative activities. For teens and adult beginners, I combine conversational work with grammar and structure to build real fluency. I also share useful vocabulary from everyday life — not just the textbook! My Qualifications BA in Spanish, French & Economics – Russell Group university Time living abroad in Spain and France Experience tutoring children and beginners both online and face-to-face I speak Spanish and French frequently and am always learning too! I'm a Spanish Tutor for Children, Teens & Beginners With a BA in Spanish and French from a Russell Group university, I specialise in helping young learners and complete beginners build confidence in Spanish from the ground up. My Teaching Approach My lessons are fun, interactive, and tailored to the student’s age and level. For children, that means games, songs, visuals, and lots of encouragement. For older beginners or teens, I balance grammar and vocabulary with conversational Spanish to build fluency and confidence. I use a student-led approach, making sure lessons move at the right pace and are always engaging. I aim to create a positive space where students enjoy learning and aren’t afraid to make mistakes — because that’s how we grow!
