About Evie
Hi! I'm Evie, a University of York Business student with a big passion for helping children grow in confidence with reading and writing. I've always loved learning and want to make English fun and exciting for young learners! With my background in education and tutoring Piano as well as strong English qualifications (A-Level B, GCSE 8 & 6), I create friendly, supportive lessons where children feel comfortable and encouraged. Learning should feel like an adventure, and I use stories, games, and activities to bring words to life. I truly believe that every child can enjoy reading and writing with the right support, and my lessons are designed to build confidence, curiosity, and creativity!

My Reading and Literacy lessons are all about making learning fun, relaxed, and stress-free. Using stories, games, and creative writing exercises, I help children build confidence and skills in reading and writing, all in an encouraging and structured environment. Lessons last for 60 minutes. I tailor each session to the child's needs, using interactive activities and guided practice to improve fluency, comprehension, spelling, and writing in an engaging way. Here’s how I make learning enjoyable and effective: Storytelling & games – Bringing words to life through fun activities. Creative writing exercises – Helping kids express themselves with confidence. Positive, supportive teaching – Lots of encouragement to build skills at their own pace. Short, focused lessons – Keeping sessions structured and engaging.
