About Andrea

Hello, I'm Andrea. I am a bilingual English-French speaker who has spent many years living and working in France.
During that time I worked in several primary schools teaching English through songs, videos, drama activities and conversation.
This experience helped me develop a supportive and engaging approach to language learning, especially helping students feel more confident speaking.
Having lived in France for so long, I have a strong understanding of everyday French language and culture, which I enjoy sharing with students.
I now live in East Yorkshire and offer French lessons for secondary school students (including GCSE preparation), beginners (children and adults) who would like to improve their confidence in speaking and understanding French.
I am patient, encouraging and always adapt lessons to the needs and pace of each student.

About the lesson

I am a bilingual English-French speaker who has spent many years living and working in France, teaching English to primary school children in several schools and also one-to-one tuition.
Through this experience I developed a very interactive and supportive approach to language learning, focusing especially on speaking confidence and understanding.
My lessons are friendly, relaxed and adapted to each student's needs. I believe that learning a language should feel encouraging rather than stressful, and I use conversation, practical examples and simple exercises to help students build confidence.
I can help with ;
* GCSE French preparation (including speaking practice)
* Homework support and revision
* Beginner French for adults
* Conversation practice to improve fluency
* Holiday or travel French
Because I have lived in France for many years, I can also help students understand real everyday French and pronunciation.

Lessons are usually 60 minutes but shorter sessions can be arranged if needed.

I teach: *Secondary school students (especially GCSE level)
* Beginners and intermediate learners
* Adults who want to improve their conversational French.
