About Emily
I'm Emily, I'm a first year psychology student at the University of Reading. I love to read and to analyse, hence the psychology degree! I recently did my own English literature GCSE and A-level exams so I have a good understanding of the curriculum and the typical books that exam boards choose. I'm keen to help you progress with your reading and essay writing skills (yes even for the dreaded Shakespeare!).

I am passionate about English literature and analysis, which links perfectly to my degree in Psychology. As a tutor, I understand that improving grades in English can be much harder than in Maths or Science, as it is much more subjective, but I am dedicated to improving your/your child's critical reading and essay-writing skills. Having recently been through my English literature GCSE and A-level, I have a strong understanding of the curriculum. I am a native English speaker. I am very friendly and patient :) Happy to do sessions online or in-person in Central Reading.
