About Lucie

Bonjour ! I'm Lucie and I'm French. I would be delighted to help you learn French and share French culture with you. I mostly teach online, via the platform you prefer (Skype, Zoom, Discord...) but we can arrange in-person lessons if you live close by as I don't drive. I used to work in communication and marketing. Then I decided to go live in Germany for a year. There, I was a French Teaching Assistant. I really loved this experience and that's why I became a Tutor when I moved to the UK. I also have experience as a Play and Care worker. If you're looking to move to France for a job, I can help you with your resume, cover letter, and roleplaying interviews. I'm really dedicated to my students in order to reach their objectives. I provide a summary of each lesson, additional documents and homework if requested. About the lesson

I tailor lessons to my students based on their age, abilities, and goals. I've detailed below what lessons for adults, teenagers or children will be like with me. I'm quite flexible and always eager to improve them if something doesn't work out for you. ADULTS' LESSONS A typical lesson for an adult will start with greetings and talking about what you have done during the week. Then we will correct the homework exercises together. After that, it's conversation time, which is usually based on the same theme as the homework so we can go deeper and reuse the new words you just learnt. Homework exercises start with either a video, an article or a couple of minutes of a podcast, followed by questions about it. I use homework to get you some more practice between lessons but if you're super busy, we can do without, it's up to you! TEENS' LESSONS Teenagers' lessons are 45 minutes, not too long, not too short. We also start with greetings and a little routine which includes, talking about something exciting you have done recently (hobby, weekend activities, a special journey...), the weather and the date. The routine will be the same for each lesson so you'll know what to expect. Then we'll move on to a variety of exercises and games to practise speaking (mostly), listening, reading and writing. KIDS' LESSONS Children's lessons are 30 minutes and start with a greeting song (the same each time so you'll know it by heart very soon!). I'll get some toys out to keep us company, and together we'll play some games to recognise sounds, learn new words and we'll probably sing a bit more (unless you don't like singing at all!).
