About Annie

I am a friendly kiwi gal born and (mostly) raised in Te Whanganui-a-tara (Wellington, NZ). I've loved languages since I can recall, English being my first, French being my second. I'm currently learning Norwegian and NZSL, with many others on my bucket-list!

Helping others is what I love, and I adore working with children especially; it brings me immense joy and a sense of purpose! I work part-time as a teacher-aide and disability worker in a Primary school, as well as nannying on the side. I'm excited to be passing on my French skills and knowledge, as well as my passion for learning languages!

About the lesson

My name is Annie, and languages are my passion!

Learning in a classroom environment or through language apps and workbooks can suck the fun out of learning; I know from experience that face-to-face conversation and having your own personal tutor allows for a more immersive, focused experience. On top of that, you can arrange for lessons whenever suits you best in a location that works for you!

I have learnt French since the age of 5; in my final year of high-school I lived in France for 10 months with local families and I attended a French high-school. On my return I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Philosophy and minoring in French. I have over 12 years of childcare experience that I can bring to the table if your kids are looking to become multi-lingual!

I want to help you and/or your children to learn basic French conversation, reading and writing skills.
I charge $30 for a half an hour lesson (recommended for children between 7-9) or $40 for an hour lesson. First 30min lesson- FREE!

Bring your own paper and pens or I can supply them for you.

First we will uncover how much you already know, and go from there! As the lessons progress, you can personalise them, for example, you may want to prioritise conversational skills, or grammar, or maybe you want to learn children's songs in French that you can teach to your family or students.
