About Darren
I am a Zoology graduate of Cardiff University who currently works as a Science Communicator at the UK's oldest dedicated science exhibition. I have worked there for over a year, communicating STEM subjects to people of all ages through workshops and interactive exhibits.
I am a native English speaker from Wales in the UK. At the beginning of 2018, I completed a course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL). I have previously tutored a range of subjects during my university studies and continue to teach to the present day.

Hi! I am a native English speaker from Wales in the UK. I have several years of teaching experience, having tutored English, science, and mathematics to pupils of varying ages and abilities. Following the completion of a Teaching English as a Foreign Language course (TEFL), I am now offering conversational English lessons. These lessons will be tailored to your specific wants and needs, and can be concentrated on particular target areas. The first lesson will be free - during this lesson we will discuss what you want to get from English lessons, what I can offer, and whether I am the right fit to deliver the lessons to you.
I approach each topic in a calm, open, and enthusiastic manner. I go through each topic at the student's pace, allowing plenty of time for interaction and questions. I am patient and always strive to deliver lessons in a fun and informal manner so that students are relaxed and enjoy the lessons, while learning a lot too!

The first lesson will be free, during this lesson we will discuss your aims and how I can help you achieve them.
I do not charge for cancelled lessons as I understand that sometimes lessons need to be cancelled at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. However, please let me know as far in advance as possible.
