About Hilary

Hello, I’m Hilary!
Born in Japan, I've lived in the USA, Australia, and now the UK.

My lessons are perfect for:

In the UK, I currently teach Japanese online, and having faced challenges while learning a second language myself, I aim to provide lessons that are patient, supportive, and encouraging.
I also supported students learning Japanese as a teaching assistant at the University, and assisted with JLPT exam facilitation.

In Japan, I worked at a leading travel company, serving in both sales and tour conducting roles, and gained travel experience across 15 countries.
I also spent five years teaching English at a private tutoring and coaching school, supporting learners across a wide range of ages and backgrounds.

I hold a Bachelor of Education (English Major) from Shizuoka University, Japan, along with national teaching licenses for elementary, junior high, and high school education.
