About Akemi
My name is Akemi, and I am a university student offering online French lessons for primary, KS3 and GCSE students.
French has been a part of my life from a young age through my family’s roots in Côte d’Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Having grown up in the UK while maintaining a strong connection to the French language, I understand both the challenges and rewards of learning a second language.
I achieved a Grade 9 in GCSE French and am passionate about helping students build confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing. As a young tutor, I understand the pressures many students face at school and aim to create a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs and designed to make French enjoyable, engaging and accessible. Whether your child is just starting to learn French or needs extra support with GCSE preparation, I am here to help them grow in confidence and make steady progress.
I also offer a free introductory session so that you can see whether my teaching style is the right fit for you.
