About Erin
As a lifelong bookworm and fiction fanatic, I work to instill in students the same love of stories that's given me so much joy throughout my life. Writing is a crucial life skill in the modern world, but it also lets us tap into a world of creativity and imagination. My goal is to spark that creativity, harness it, and use it to hone those essential tools that will propel students to success. Learning should be a challenge--a fun one!

Each lesson is tailored to my students' individual needs, interests and goals. My professional certification is in grades 6 through 12, but I've worked with students from 1st grade up through university level.
I believe strongly that students learn best when given the freedom to explore their own hobbies and follow their natural sense of curiosity. In addition to helping students understand and succeed in their school assignments, I work with them to develop self-guided reading and writing projects. These let me provide detailed feedback in our sessions, and let students discover a passion for English that may be missing in a traditional classroom.
I also have extensive experience with English language learners, including adult students seeking help with their business writing and professional communication.
