About ONSAY

Hi, I’m Onsay, a Psychology undergraduate at Oxford Brookes University with a genuine passion for helping students understand psychology and feel confident in their learning. I enjoy making complex ideas simple, relatable, and engaging, and I always aim to create a calm, supportive learning environment.
Alongside my degree, I've worked as an Academic Support Tutor with IntoUniversity, where I supported students academically, to them help them develop effective revision strategies, and build confidence in their abilities. This experience has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to different learners and explain concepts clearly and patiently.
I understand that psychology can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when it comes to theories, research studies, and exam questions. Having been through the GCSE and A-Level system myself, I know what examiners look for and how to approach questions in a clear and structured way. I aim to support students not only with subject content, but also with organisation, confidence, and exam technique.
I am friendly, approachable, and organised, and I believe learning works best when students feel relaxed and supported. Whether you need help keeping up with class content, revising for exams, or improving essay technique, I am happy to tailor lessons to your goals.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is student-centred, supportive, and structured, with lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs and learning style. I focus on building clear understanding, confidence, and exam readiness, rather than rote memorisation.
I begin by identifying areas of strength and difficulty, then break down complex psychological concepts into clear, manageable explanations using real-world examples, case studies, and exam-focused practice. I regularly check understanding through discussion, short questions, and exam-style tasks, and I encourage students to ask questions in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Where appropriate, I also support students with revision techniques, essay structure, research skills, and exam strategies, helping them develop both subject knowledge and independent study confidence.
