About Emma
Throughout my school experience, I always offered help to students in younger years who were struggling with aspects of their German lessons. I have helped from simple vocabulary and grammar to entire GCSE papers, with my aim being to get the students to understand what the question is asking them, and how they can improve their answers.
I also helped my sister to achieve high grades whilst she was in year 9, and her grades improved significantly.

I am a current student at a Russel Group university, studying International Business Management with German, offering tutoring for German to GCSE students. I achieved an A* myself at GCSE and love the language, having studied it since I was 11 years old.
In terms of lesson structure, for the first session I would bring along a past-paper from the exam board that the student in question is learning, and complete the paper with them, recognising target areas for improvement. I would then focus mainly on those areas, also having mark schemes readily available so that the student can see and understand why their answer was (in)correct.
I am very friendly, and not pressurising at all: everyone is allowed to make mistakes, it's the only way we can get better! I will take a calm and sensitive approach and am able to adapt to the students' needs very quickly. I am more than happy to answer questions throughout the session, whether they are simple or complex.
