About Shinnelle
Hi, I'm a 31-year-old English tutor with a truly international story. Born in Jamaica and raised in Australia, I've spent my life navigating different cultures, accents, and environments — and English has been my native language through all of it. My education from primary school through university was completed in Australia, giving me a strong foundation in formal, academic English.
I hold a degree in Psychological Science, which means I don't just teach English — I understand how the mind learns, retains, and builds new skills. This gives my lessons a real edge when it comes to helping students who feel stuck or frustrated with their progress.
Currently based in Canada and pursuing a career in law, I bring a sharp, analytical mindset to every lesson. Whether you need to polish your everyday conversation, master grammar, or crack IELTS or TOEFL, I know what it takes to communicate clearly, confidently, and correctly in high-stakes situations.
My multicultural background means I deeply appreciate the journey of learning and adapting to a new language and culture. I've seen it firsthand — and I'm here to make your path easier.
