About Sinchan
I am a published author/poet and researcher from India. As a doctoral researcher at UC Berkeley, I analyze narratives of neurodivergence or intellectual disability. I have been teaching students in India for over five years, and greatly enjoy being able to converse with young, curious, and imaginative minds.

I believe in fostering the skill of critical thinking in my students. I offer close-reading sessions which prepare students not only for middle school and high school but also offer an introductory training into the field of research and analysis.
Years of experience of teaching students across nationalities and borders has instilled in me the ability to learn from diversity and to value and respect students of all abilities and age-groups. I believe in promoting a pedagogy that is founded in kindness, empathy, care, and enables me to learn from my students just as they learn from me.
