About Louis
Hello! I'm Louis, it's a pleasure to e-meet you! :) I have great experience tutoring French at foundation and higher GCSE level, and I work with younger secondary school students (year 7+) on a daily basis at Acland Burghley School. I have a great rapport with all of my students, who have described my lessons as fun and helpful! My grades at GCSE were (concealed information) and A*A*A at A Level. I have a real love for French, having spent months conversing with locals and taking advanced courses in speaking, reading, writing and listening. I have full DBS checks, and I come highly recommended by my employers at Acland Burghley School. In my free time, I like dancing and playing guitar!

Learning French should be fun and inspiring, and so my lessons are designed to teach your child a love for learning French while giving them the tools to fly high in their lessons and exams! A typical lesson will last 45 minutes to an hour, and will usually include an engaging mélange of listening, reading, writing and speaking, which form the key assessment areas that your child will be tested on in exams. Crucially, I will be supporting your child in 'meta-learning'. That is, encouraging them to think independently about their own learning, and how they best learn, through continual assessment. This will allow us to tailor our sessions to make them more useful and enjoyable. I am a full time academic tutor in Acland Burghley School, where I help foundation and higher GCSE French students prepare and revise for their upcoming exams. Having excelled in GCSE level French in 2020 and A Level French in 2022, I have a very up to date understanding of what is required to obtain the highest grades. I will frequently analyse and reference 'indicative content' with your child, to ensure that they are hitting the highest bands.
