About Claire
I am Claire and have worked in secondary education for over twenty years, both as a teacher and Deputy Director of English. Currently, I work for two of the most popular exam boards in the country as a GCSE examiner.
I love my subject and am extremely passionate about guiding students through their courses and exams to inspire confidence and motivation.

My sessions are engaging and accessible - you will always leave with a sense of achievement! Lessons vary between 45-minutes and one hour but can be as flexible as you need me to be.
I have tutored online for a year and have taught English for over twenty years in the classroom, covering a range of exam boards and Key Stages right up to A-Level.
Tackling English is just like learning any other skill; it’s the application that’s important. You can expect to use your skills regularly with me and be given detailed feedback on a regular basis.
