About Barry
I am presently teaching in a DEIS 1 school and have been for the last 15 years with experience in a wide variety of educational settings. In my past 2 years, I have worked as a special education teacher and have significant experience engaging with different learning styles and abilities. In addition to my teaching role, I am also an Assistant Principal.
I am registered with the Teaching Council and have current Garda vetting.
I qualified from Mary Immaculate College Limerick with a combined B.Ed and B.A. in Psychology (first-class honors) and also hold a master's degree in ICT in Education. I have extensive experience helping children with challenging behavior, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ADHD.

Typically provide 1-hour lessons with a mixture of practical, games-based, and rote support. Primary aim is to improve child's perception of the target subject and then support their academic development.
Have been doing 1 to 1 tuition support for primary level students for the past 6 years so am very familiar with how best to support learning.
