About Yasemin
I am a passionate teacher and I am excited to help your children learn and feel empowered and supported in whatever it is they want to achieve and become better at!
There is no judgement and I welcome mistakes. It's the way I teach the children in my class and it is the way I will teach your children. Mistakes are the way we learn and with me you will feel comfortable and at ease to ask questions and further your understanding.
Aside from teaching, I enjoy singing, cooking and travelling and I am thoroughly enjoying my big life move to Madrid.

Hello!
My name is Yasemin, I'm 28 years old and I'm currently a Reception teacher in Madrid. I started my teaching journey by training at UCL London, the leading training centre for teachers in the world. I then taught for four years in Early Years, first, in a private girls school in London to now teaching in a very established British School in Madrid. I am confident in my skills and knowledge of teaching early reading and writing to the highest standard. Using the EYFS British curriculum for reading and communication, I will help your child achieve reading from a very young age as well as spoken word and comprehension practise. I am currently tutoring children in person in Madrid so I am also have experience with bilingual children however, I now want to expand my tutoring to reach a wider range of children to support and hopefully inspire.
Ages 4-5: I will offer phonics introduction to the letters and teach blending and segmenting in order to read. This will be paired with speaking practise.
Ages 5-6: I will offer exercises based around furthering their comprehension and understanding of texts as well as answering questions in their writing. Phonics support will be offered if needed.
Ages above will be on a discussed basis of particular needs given by their teachers or what parents would like them to learn. I can teach and support again with phonics, comprehension, writing and speaking practise.
