About Tina
Hi, I'm Tina! I started playing the violin when I was eight years old with Coosje Wijzenbeek. I then studied classical violin at the conservatories (bachelor's and master's degrees) in Utrecht and Amsterdam. There, I had lessons with various teachers (Carla Leurs, Chris Duindam, Hebe Mensinga, and Kees Koelmans).
I especially enjoy playing with people and always try to incorporate this into my own lessons. Interested? I'd love to work with you!

With over 10 years of experience teaching violin, I have worked with many different methods.
Important parts of the lessons are developing a relaxed technical foundation, discovering your own musicality and being able to apply it to the violin, and playing different styles to discover together what you like.
I'm personally very involved with chamber music and ensembles. Besides my classical music studies, I've gained extensive experience in other styles, including tango, pop, Arabic music, hardstyle, jazz, and klezmer. Students are always welcome to suggest what they'd like to learn; all levels are welcome.
