About Flora

I holds a Masters of Creative Music Therapy from Western Sydney University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Music Education from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Education) from Hong Kong Baptist University.

I received LTCL with Distinction from the Trinity College London in Piano Recital.

I have 5 years of experience working as a school music teacher in both primary and secondary schools and have been teaching piano for 15 years.

I also have more than 1 year of clinical experience as a music therapist in community and clinical settings.

I also have experience as an accompanist for choirs, instrumental exams, performances and ballet schools.

I am now dedicated to providing music therapy services and piano teaching. She speaks English and Cantonese fluently.

My Teaching Philosophy

The primary goal of my teaching is to make learning piano a joyful and fulfilling journey. Inspired by incredible teachers, I believe piano lessons go beyond music. By creating a fun, engaging, and personalised environment, I aim to inspire a lifelong love for music while helping you grow both musically and personally. I am thrilled to embark on this musical journey with you as we explore the joy and beauty of music together, honoring the gifts God has given us.

- Emphasising on developing student's interest in music
- Solo playing techniques, music knowledge, listening games, ensemble playing will be included in lessons

Qualification:
- Got Masters of Creative Music Therapy
- Got Bachelor in Music Education (Hons)
- Got LTCL piano performance with distinction
- Got ABRSM Grade 8 Theory exam
- A full-time music teacher in Hong Kong for 5 years
- Piano accompanists in a ballet school & choirs & exams & church
- Experienced in piano teaching for 16 years & Piano accompaniment (students from 3-70 years with beginners to advanced)
- can teach by English, Cantonese and Mandarin

Deadly! Attempting to learn piano as an adult was quite daunting for me, however it was something that I really wanted to try and have a go at. Flora was very welcoming and accepting of my goals and I really enjoy each lesson as they are fun and I feel like each week I am progressing. During the lessons Flora is always able to answer any of my questions and I go home every time looking forward to practice what I learnt. ⁠
