About Gabby
I bring a unique blend of corporate experience and a strong passion for education, with a focus on language and phonics instruction for young learners. With certifications including a TESOL Certificate (120 hours) and a TCSOL Diploma (Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages), I specialize in teaching English phonics and Mandarin to children through engaging, interactive online lessons. I have experience working with children from diverse backgrounds, including volunteer work teaching refugee and low-income students. My teaching approach is warm, structured, and student-centered, emphasizing phonemic awareness, sound blending, and word recognition—key skills that lay the foundation for confident reading and spelling.
