About Natalie

I’ve played violin my whole life and studied privately for many years, building a strong technical foundation and a clear understanding of how students learn best. I’ve also taught lessons in the past, which helped me develop a patient, encouraging teaching style that meets students where they’re at.

I recently graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in User Experience design, which has shaped how I approach teaching. I focus on creating lessons that are tailored to each student—making learning clear, engaging, and enjoyable rather than overwhelming.

My goal is to help students feel confident in their playing and genuinely enjoy the process of improving, while building skills that will last long-term.

About the lesson

I focus on helping students enjoy playing the violin while building strong technique and a beautiful sound from the very beginning. My lessons are fun, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s personality, interests, and goals so they stay motivated and actually enjoy practicing.

I emphasize strong fundamentals, tone, and confidence so students can hear real progress early on without feeling overwhelmed. Each lesson is customized to the student and often incorporates games, creativity, and music they enjoy.

I work especially well with beginners and intermediate students, and I strive to create a positive, low-pressure environment where students feel proud of their progress and excited to keep improving.
