About Robert
I am a university lecturer with over 10 years’ experience teaching creative and technical subjects, including product design, visual communication, and digital media. I hold a Master’s in Visual Communication, a PGCE in Creative Education, and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
I have extensive experience supporting neurodiverse students, as well as mature learners and students at various levels. I specialise in helping students develop practical skills in Fusion 360, CAD, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and digital manufacturing workflows, combining software expertise with real-world design thinking.
I am committed to creating structured, patient, and outcome-focused lessons that give students confidence and the skills to succeed. My approach ensures that learners feel supported while making meaningful progress on their projects, coursework, or creative goals.

I provide structured, supportive, and outcome-focused lessons designed to help students build skills in CAD, digital manufacturing, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Teaching Approach & Methodology:
• I start each session with a simple, achievable outcome, so students leave with a tangible result from the very first lesson.
• Lessons are interactive and hands-on, combining demonstration, guided practice, and personalised feedback.
• I focus on helping students understand both the tools and the creative thinking behind their projects, rather than just “clicking buttons.”
• Each session is customised to the student’s pace, learning style, and project goals, making it accessible and engaging for learners who benefit from extra support.
Lesson Length:
• Sessions start at 1 hour (the first session is 1 hour) and can extend up to 2 hours, with the exact length dictated by the student’s needs.
