About Hermine
With nearly seven years of experience, I am a seasoned tutor. Over the years, I have taught French, English, History, essay writing, and other Humanities disciplines. A future Cambridge graduate, I got my bachelor ’ s in Comparative Literature from University College London. My demanding academic curriculum has equipped her with outstanding analytical, textual, and comparative skills across disciplines, languages and cultures. Engaging with literature, critical theory, languages, and history has perfected my understanding of their respective importance in building inclusive and comprehensive learning environments for learners. Every student has allowed me to perfect her teaching skills: learning is a two way street; the boundaries between learner and teacher are porous ! Passionate about literature, anything related to Oscar Wilde and Colette, I am a well-rounded tutor whose commitment to supporting students of all levels towards their learning goals is reflected in a tailor-made approach to tutoring, and grounded in a deep love for my native language.

Having recently graduated from University College London with a first-class degree in Comparative Literature, I wish to continue my career in education. I am particularly interested in sharing my passion for Literature, the French and English languages, and History with students. This desire is rooted in both my extensive experience working with pupils, and my awareness of the importance of meaningful education to build stronger, and fairer communities. My approach to teaching relies on a deep love for my native languages, and a passion for teaching them. I have a lot of experience with children which has taught me the importance of adapting to each student and persevering. I take an interest in ludic methods: they seem a great way to learn to play and play to learn.
