About Rishi
I am currently majoring in Hispanic Studies and Economics at Brandeis University in my sophomore year. I am an IB alumni, and did IB Spanish at the standard level. I started my Spanish journey at age 10, and have over the years become engrossed in connecting to Spanish culture and the language. I am currently based in Waltham, Massachussets. I have also tutored students who took IGCSE Spanish, and helped them work on their speaking skills.

My classes center around helping students become more comfortable in conversational Spanish without worrying as much about nitty-gritty details regarding grammar, etc. The goal is to try and develop a sense of spontaneity regarding thinking in Spanish - the polishing of grammar, etc comes with time.
The first lesson is a diagnosis to understand the level of the student, and will include just talking in English (and maybe Spanish) to understand the level of the student. The subsequent classes will be a mix of just having a platform to speak conversational Spanish at the level of the student, about different topics the student is interested in, and slowly improve. I will also use worksheets to help the student reinforce their learning, and also show a 10 minute video clip of a native speaker speaking at a speed the student will be able to interpret every class, so that the student becomes more and more accustomed to hearing spoken Spanish.
Lessons are for anyone who wants a platform to practice their conversational Spanish and improve their speaking skills as well as get a better grasp of the language. All age ranges are welcome.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I myself am a college student, and understand how difficult it can be to sometimes get a grasp of a certain subject, which especially applies to languages. I'm here to help nurture you as a Spanish speaker, and will not judge anyone regardless of their level of speaking.
