About Anusha
Hi there! My name is Anusha and I am currently a Year 13 student studying English Literature, History and Government and Politics at A-level. If you can't tell by now, I love a good essay subject! I would love to help you in your GCSE English journey, whether you are just starting off in Year 9/ 10, or at the final hurdle in Year 11. Combining my love for the subject and your hard work, I know I can help push you to achieve the grades you deserve. I typically hold sessions once a week, for 40 mins at a time. However, if you feel you need more/less, that is totally up to you- I am flexible. Whether you love English or not, I'm happy to help!

What my lessons will entail: • Clear breakdowns of how to approach GCSE texts • Revision techniques and study resources • Past paper walkthroughs • Time management under exam conditions ENGLISH LITERATURE • Themes and quotations covered for AQA GCSE texts (including 'Jane Eyre', 'Macbeth' and 'Lord of the Flies') • Higher-order skills for students aiming for Grades 7-9 • How to use alternative interpretations when approaching exam questions ENGLISH LANGUAGE • Improving style and sophistication of written work for creative writing • Familiarising forms of writing; letters, articles, speeches • Fiction texts vs non-fiction texts • SPAG practice- how to avoid common mistakes My experience as a tutor: • Achieved Grade 9 (A*) in both GCSE English Literature and English Language • Currently studying English Literature at A-level (predicted A*) • Tutor for the past 2 years, with students achieving Grades 7-9 in GCSE. • Lessons are typically 40 minutes, once a week. Flexible depending on availability. • Aimed at Year 10/11 GCSE students
